The Story of Icarus

The story of Icarus comes from Greek mythology. Icarus is the son of the master craftsman Daedalus. Icarus and his father attempt to escape Crete by means of wings Daedalus had constructed out of wax and feathers. Daedalus instructs Icarus to follow him on his flight pattern and stay close to the ground during their escape. Icarus, ignoring his fathers instructions, flies too close to the sun where the wax melts and he falls to his death.
